Popped in on the off chance they had a table for me. It’s a busy Friday night, I’d not booked and they had large parties due in shortly. Despite all this, they fitted me, on my own, on a large table, tucked discreetly in the corner and not in full view (my hearing is failing so sitting with walls around me help me hear better). I had a simple meal: spicy and plain poppadoms, assortment of chutneys, butter chicken, pilaw rice, keema naan. Washed down with water and a pint of cobra. Food first. The starts were amazing. Poppadoms were crisp, had good bite, tasty and spicy. Chutneys were fresh, clean and plentiful. Followed by butter chicken chicken. The chicken was tender, cooked and succulent. Probably the best butter chicken ever. I’d gone off it previously as it has been chewy and butter elsewhere. But this one was top notch. Rice was cooked perfectly and delicate, the keema naan was crisp as necessary, hot and tasty meat filling, not soggy nor undercooked. Service super friendly and prompt. The condition of accommodating me was that I could clear the table, so I ordered quickly and had super speedy service, just the right balance. Sadly I live a few hours away but I’d definitely coming back here again. Great food, too service and friendly, genuine people. Note: even at 6pm, restaurant was busy. I counted 6 takeaways in 30 mins. Gives you an idea of how popular this excellent restaurant is. 23 not bad!

Great Nepalese/ Indian food. I had the bandel (tandoori pork) and khasi tang. The pork, a rarity at the more common Bangladeshi / Indian restaurants, had a lovely spiced tandoori coating and I only removed one fatty morsel from the six or seven large chunks provided. Star of the show though was the lamb, slow cooked and served on the bone, I pulled the meat off with ease at home with two forks and then consumed with glee. Contains plentiful chickpeas so while saucy, I don't think it requires rice. Bread? Yes, get mopping!

Visited Everest last night with a group of six and everything was superb. Very friendly staff, fantastic food and when they realised it was my son's 21st birthday they brought out a small cake with candle and played the Happy Birthday music over the restaurant speakers! I will definitely be going back.
